TriCraft Mobile Repair, LLC is a locally owned and family-operated company, with Richard serving as the primary technician performing the hands-on service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for our customers.
A Lifetime of Hands-On Experience
Richard’s mechanical background began at an early age. Growing up around the automotive industry, with both parents working in automotive-related careers, he developed an interest in vehicles and mechanical work long before it became a profession. By the age of 15, Richard was already working hands-on with vehicles, beginning with automotive bodywork and eventually progressing into painting, frame work, mechanical repairs, and other areas of automotive service.
At the same time, Richard’s lifelong passion for fishing and boating led him in another direction. Throughout his teenage and adult years, he regularly worked on boats for himself, friends, and family. From repairing and maintaining boats to rebuilding his own vessels, boating became much more than a hobby—it became an important part of his mechanical experience and ultimately one of the driving forces behind TriCraft Mobile Repair.
Over the years, Richard continued expanding his knowledge and experience with boats, automobiles, and recreational vehicles. Working across these different platforms provided valuable experience with mechanical, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and other systems while developing the troubleshooting skills necessary to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts.
Turning Experience Into Professional Training
After years of hands-on experience, Richard decided to further his education and strengthen his knowledge of the marine and RV industries through formal technical training.
He attended J-Tech, where he studied marine and RV technology and successfully graduated with an Associate Degree and a 4.0 GPA. His education provided additional technical knowledge to complement the practical experience he had developed throughout his life.
For Richard, education didn’t replace hands-on experience—it strengthened it.
The Beginning of TriCraft Mobile Repair
TriCraft Mobile Repair, LLC was created to bring that combination of real-world experience, professional education, and personal service directly to customers.
Today, Richard continues doing what he has enjoyed for most of his life: diagnosing problems, repairing equipment, and helping people keep their boats, vehicles, and RVs operating safely and reliably.
As a small family-owned business, we believe customers should know who is working on their equipment and feel comfortable asking questions about their repairs. We focus on honest communication, careful diagnostics, quality workmanship, and providing recommendations based on what the customer actually needs.
We understand that a boat, vehicle, or RV represents more than equipment. It may be how you get to work every day, how your family travels, or how you spend your weekends fishing and enjoying the water. When something isn’t working correctly, you want someone who will take the time to find the problem and treat your equipment with the same care they would give their own.
